Annual Events

At the beginning of the year, members have the opportunity to participate in recruitment to bring in the next class of first year students!  We host several fun parties and meet-and-greets to showcase who we are and meet new students.

Initiation is the culmination of all recruitment events where new members have received their bids and are initiated into the fraternity.  This is an event full of tradition that allows new members to start their journey in OTS and receive their big brothers/sisters!

We are proud to throw the best tailgates around on Saturdays in Athens! They take place on either in the OTS backyard or the CVM lawn. It sure is great to be a Georgia Bulldawg!

Combining our last date night of the semester and tacky Christmas sweaters makes for a pretty jolly OTS-exclusive end-of-the-year party! This year, members danced the night away at Boar's Head!

The White Carnation Ball is held every year in in the beginning of the spring semester. Scrubs and boots are ditched in favor of formal dresses and suits... We clean up pretty well! 

Professor dinner is a fun event spent with faculty members in the spring!  Dinner this year was a lowcountry boil and members got to spend time making connections with some incredible CVM professors!

No better excuse to enjoy some amazing Mexican food than when our awesome alumni are in town! This is a great way for current members to make connections with OTS Veterinarians!

Every year in April we invite our parents to join us for either G-day or the Great Southland Stampede Rodeo hosted by UGA's Block and Bridle Club! We host an Masters' watch party on that Saturday with tons of golf themed goodies!

Our largest fundraiser of the year is our annual Chicken BBQ plate sale. Don't worry, we deliver!! 

Horsecollar is the annual flag football game between OTS and AY. Burgers and beer make for a good time no matter who wins! All the proceeds from this past year went to VFPP (Vets for Pets and People)!

One of our favorite fall parties is Luau! We grab our hula skirts and floral shirts and enjoy time spent with friends.  This is a great way to decompress after stressful exams and evaluations!
